Physics Fun: Balloons in Liquid Nitrogen

Matt Strafuss, a technical

instructor in MIT's Physics Department, offers a practical, and nifty, demonstration of the basic principles behind the the ideal gas law. Essentially, that "law" proposes that a decrease in temperature and an object with fixed mass subjected to external pressure will result in a smaller volume, and vice-versa. For those of us who aren't physicists, it's just way cool.
